About Emmett Technique

About the EMMETT Technique
Emmett is a unique technique that uses light finger pressure on points called Emmett points. These points do not need hard or invasive touch to be activated. “Less is more” is more along the lines of the Emmett Technique policy.
These points when applied to with a light finger pressure allow muscles and fascia to be re-patterned to release tension and stress and restore the muscle to its original function.
Using the Right pressure, In the right direction, For the right amount of time is a skill taught to the Emmett Practitioner through many hours of practise and training. Used correctly it can have significant physical changes to painful muscles and tight immobile fascia.

What does a session involve?

A few brief movement tests are done to assess the client’s issue.
The session can be done lying down on a massage table, seated if only doing upper body and standing if this needed.
You can come for an Emmett session only or some of the Emmett moves can be done whilst in a TRE session, if patterns of tension are noticed and the release could help with the TRE release.
The nice thing about Emmett is that it can be done through clothing, or a minimal movement of clothing to apply pressure directly onto the skin.
The session can last anything from 10min to an hour depending on the issue at hand.

How does it Work?

The Emmett Technique Practitioner has the knowledge to find the correct point which can re-set these points to allow the body to return to a balanced state. With a holistic approach of mind and body and a lock in technique, the sometimes instant changes can have a long term change.
